What is Sample Review Service?

The sample is the prototype or model of the product, upon which the buyer can decide on how and whether to confirm the order or not. The product sampling process is one of the principal processes in product manufacturing and it plays an important role in attracting buyers and confirming export orders.

Getting samples right the first time and having a complete sample review plan reduces time spent and improves efficiency for any business.

IQMS specialized inspectors perform work on-site with your supplier to ensure first samples are being manufactured to your design, construction, material quality, fit requirement/dimension, and your exact specifications, and requirements are properly drafted. So make certain your bulk production will start along the right lines.

Type of Samples

At the different stages of product development and product manufacturing process, the samples are given different names. The same sample might be known by different names. So there is a defined objective for developing each type of sample. There are some sample types we mentioned below for your information. 

  1.  Proto Sample /First Sample: The first sample that is developed from the design sketch or the design concept (Based on Technical design).
  2.  Fit Sample: Fit sample is developed according to the spec sheet measurement and design sketch. 
  3.  Salesman Sample (SMS): samples based on the final design to forecasting the order volume.
  4.  Pre- Production Sample: Need takes approval for style workmanship, specs and trimming, and material quality 
  5.  Shipment Sample: The sample is referred for packing details, all detailing attached to the finished garment, and executed shipment quality. 

IQMS Inspectors will look for,

  • Getting clarifications about style details

  • Design: The overall creative design of your garment/accessory. How               the sample aesthetically reflects your original design.

  • Fit / Function: The fit and performance of the garment/accessory as intended.  

  •  Construction: How the construction adds to the overall design and  function of the of the garment/accessory.

  • Following Measurement Guide.

  • Comparing construction callouts from Tech Pack to the sample. 

  • Begin evaluating the fit by looking for draglines and stress points. (After you’ve completed evaluating the fit, take photos to include with the comments).

  • Be sure and confirm Tags, labels, and logos be added.

  • Make sure products, follow international standards,laws and rules.
